Flipkart is looking for a Website Developer to join our Software Development team in Bangalore. In this role, you will build and maintain the web experiences that millions of customers interact with every day — from high-traffic landing pages and campaign microsites to internal tooling and content-driven storefronts. You'll work side by side with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to turn ideas into fast, accessible, and reliable websites, and you'll have real ownership over the quality of what ships. Responsibilities: • Build, test, and ship responsive web pages, landing pages, and microsites using modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, translating design files into production-quality interfaces. • Develop and maintain front-end components and reusable UI patterns that keep the codebase consistent, accessible, and easy for other teams to extend. • Integrate front-end experiences with backend APIs and content management systems, handling data fetching, error states, and edge cases gracefully. • Optimize page performance and Core Web Vitals (load time, bundle size, rendering) so that experiences stay fast on low-end devices and slow networks. • Debug and resolve cross-browser, cross-device, and production issues in collaboration with QA and engineering peers, including root-cause analysis. • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions, contributing clear documentation and continuously improving team engineering practices. • Support deployment workflows and monitor released features in production, responding quickly to regressions and customer-facing issues. Qualifications: • 1–3 years of professional experience developing websites or web applications (strong internship or portfolio projects will be considered for junior candidates). • Solid command of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+), including responsive layout techniques such as Flexbox and CSS Grid. • Working knowledge of at least one modern front-end framework or library (React, Vue, Angular, or similar) and its component-based development model. • Familiarity with consuming REST APIs and handling asynchronous data (fetch, promises, async/await). • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility, web accessibility basics, and mobile-first development. • Experience with Git and collaborative workflows (branches, pull requests, code review). • Ability to read designs from Figma or similar tools and implement them accurately, including attention to spacing, typography, and interaction detail. • Strong problem-solving skills and clear written and verbal communication in a collaborative, fast-moving environment. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
